2023 Idaho Governor's Cup Recipients

(BOISE) – Governor Brad Little announced the recipients today of the 2023 Governor’s Cup Scholarships to Idaho colleges and universities. Last year’s Governor’s Cup fundraising drive brought in enough money for 39 new scholarships to be awarded this year.

The 44th Governor’s Cup fund-raising drive brought in enough money for 37 new scholarships to award this year.

Recipients were chosen from among more than 1,000 applicants by the Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship Fund Inc.’s 12-member board of directors. Selections were made based on each applicant’s commitment to public service, academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement.

The award is $3,000 per year, renewable for up to four years, or two to three years for career-technical programs, contingent upon the length of the program.

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (September 5, 2018) – The 44th Annual Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship Event returns to Coeur d’Alene on September 6-8, where more than 600 participants will enjoy sporting events, social activities and evening entertainment to raise funds in support of Idaho students and their post-secondary education.

Boise, Idaho (June 5, 2018) – The Idaho Governor’s Cup is thrilled to award scholarships to thirty-six Idaho students as they begin their post-secondary education. Since 1974, the Idaho Governor’s Cup has awarded scholarships to Idaho high school graduates attending post-secondary institutions in the state. This year, the organization awarded the first Cecil D. Andrus Excellence in Education Scholarship to one student pursuing a career in education.
